Prayer - The Middle Prayer
Episode script
We take a look at our prayer habit and practices in a Happy Islam Reflection. Join, and follow the narration.
The Quran enjoins the believer to pray at set times. Prayers at both ends of the day, when you enter into the morning, when the sun is risen high, at the paling and fading of the sun, when you enter into the evening, and the nightly or dawn prayers. As to the exact number, the believer has to follow through as required as the nightly prayers have not been itemized so is purely up to the believer.
In Al-Muzzammil (Surah 73: 2-7, 20), Allah indicated that "Verily, getting up at night is the most potent means of subduing the self and most effective in respect of words of prayer". Surah 73-7 "Thou hast indeed, during the day, a long chain of engagements." You go further down to Surah 73:20 and further advice follows. This is Allah guiding His servants.
So, it's also clear that you might have had a long engagement during the day, and when you have settled then follow through with your nightly prayers. It also direct that you recite the Quran at dawn. Al Israa (surah 17:79), goes as "Observe Prayer at the declining and paling of the sun on to the darkness of the night, and the recitation of the Quran in Prayer at dawn. Verily, the recitation of the Quran at dawn is especially acceptable to God."
Middle Prayer:
Everything starts in darkness and ends in light except the months that Allah showed us mercy to allow us follow through them from light-to-light. The day and the year all starts from dark points, same as our development in the womb. This is a general rule of Allah.

A typical 24-hour day start just after sunset to the next sunset.
To make it easy, follow the image: Early Evening - Evening - Dawn - Sunrise - Sunset
In the image presentation, the dawn will lead us into the light as the sun rises, thus separating the two parts of darkness and light. In this regard, the prayer that's said before you enter sunrise is the Middle Prayer as it sits exactly between darkness and light, the two main parts of a typical 24-hour day.
Why argue when Allah is in charge? This is a misconception and the community has to correct it.
Final Take:
You who is a believer, Al-Baqara 2:238 goes as "Watch over Prayers, and the middle Prayer, and stand before Allah submissively"
