Islamic Radio & My Tracks
How live radio works, and how to build your own shelf of saved tracks you can play offline.
- 1
See what's on air
Open the Radio page. The On Air card shows the programme running now and the track currently playing, with a live indicator when the station is broadcasting.
- 2
Start listening
Tap the listen button on the On Air card. A small player stays at the bottom of the screen as you move around the app, so you can keep listening while you read.
- 3
Check the lock screen
With the phone locked, the track name shows as the title and the programme name underneath, so you always know what you are hearing.
- 4
Save a track to My Tracks
Tap the save icon on a track you like. My Tracks is your personal shelf of saved songs and recitations, kept to your account.
- 5
Download for offline play
Inside My Tracks, download a track to store it on your device. Downloaded tracks play with no connection; saved-but-not-downloaded tracks are bookmarks only and need internet.
- 6
Shuffle your own list
Use shuffle in My Tracks to play your saved tracks in a random order instead of the order you saved them.
Good to know
- Live radio always needs an internet connection — only downloaded tracks play offline.
- If a phone call interrupts playback, the radio picks itself back up shortly after the call ends.
- All lyrics are written by the Happy Islam team; the music is produced in-house for the station.
